[Brief Description]
This is the first release of processed images from Infrared Camera (IRC)
on board the Japanese infrared satellite AKARI
during Phase 1&2 pointed observations.
The field of view of IRC is 10 arcmin and the PSF size is
~5 arcseconds in FWHM.
The 9 photometric filters continuously cover the wavelength range
from ~2 to ~26 micrometers.
The above figures show examples of processed images as 3-color composites.
The above figure shows target positions in the Galactic coordinates
from ~4000
(Red: ~3000 photometric,
Blue: ~1000 spectroscopic)
observations.
The updated toolkit and data users manual are also available
from the following links.
[Documents]
- Start-up guide (PDF; 5.9 MB)
A summary of this release and quick guide for users.
- Change Log
- ReadMe_v1.0.1.txt
Description of data files, file formats, contents, and caveats for the users are presented. Users of the data are strongly recommended
to read this note prior to analyze the data.
- summary201504.dat (1.9 MB)
The full list of observations and summary of pipeline processing.
Description for the columns is available in ReadMe.txt.
- release_notes_v1.0.1.txt
Release notes for users. Process procedures
and limitations are described in more detail than ReadMe.txt.
Users of the data are strongly recommended
to read this note prior to analyze the data.
- IRC_DUM.pdf [v2.2] (11 MB)
IRC Data Users Manual with full description of the instruments, calibration, and data processing.
Major updates are highlighted with a bold face.
- Following paper describes details of the data processing and calibration, and basic performance of the data.

[Data Search]
New data packages with processed images are available
from the following links.
For raw data packages, please go to the
DARTS
website.
Caution: Please contact us when you use the stacked data with the warning of 'Wusv'.
- Interactive data search
- List of observations
[Imaging Toolkit]
- irc20150331.tar.gz (26MB)
The latest (ver.150331) IRC imaging toolkit for Phase 1&2 used to produce the data in this release.
Major improvements are
- better calibration of time-dependent dark and MIR-S flat
- better stacking method
- better WCS matching
which inrease the S/N and reliability of output images.
Please read README_20150331.txt included in the package and the Data Users Manual
(listed above) before using the toolkit.
Raw data to be processed with the toolkit are available from the
DARTS
website.
